Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and TV personality who gained fame in the 1990s when she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. Hurley was immediately noticed by the media in 1994 when Grant was the focus of attention worldwide for the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film wearing a Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held with gold safetypins. Hurley's relationship in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics producer, is regarded as a high point in her career. Hurley was hired by Estee Lauder as her first model at age at the age of 29. In 1995 she has been a model for Estee Lauder's cosmetics including Sensuous Intuition & Pleasures. Her most well-known film role was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley creates and models an eponymous line of swimwear. Perry's early attempts at fame with mainstream artists were not successful. Perry was signed to two labels before being later dropped by them before the release of any music. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The track that was the title track was a jolly and sly single that garnered little or no notice. "I Kissed" a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, accompanied by a hard edged electronic-pop beat. It quickly sparked controversy, as critics criticized its promotion of same-sex relationships while others claimed that the racy scenario that it depicted was a sly way to appeal to men's fantasies about female sexuality. Nevertheless the combination of polished and titillating melody helped I Kissed a Girl become the number one song in multiple countries powering the album sales of the Boys (2008). Hot N Cold was a hit in America, and the album's second song Hot N Cold with its sharp tongued bouncy beat also gained popularity.
